A Capstone Certificate in Community and Nonprofit Leadership at UW–Madison prepares you for an impactful role in the nonprofit sector. The program embraces a multi-disciplinary, community-centered approach that focuses on community dynamics and community-led efforts in addition to organizational management approaches.

  • Most courses are offered in 4-week, 1-credit, evening-based format, making the program accessible for continuing learners
  • Ability to customize your program experience, pairing nonprofit and community leadership courses with your area of interest (i.e. child development)
  • Work in cooperation with employers and community partners to develop your leadership skills
