The Global Higher Education (GHE) master’s degree program focuses on training future generations of professionals and scholars striving for diversity, equity and inclusion in a global context. GHE enables individuals to engage with higher education administration and leadership around the world, and to strive for diversity, equity and inclusion in a global context.

  • The program provides pathways to careers in higher education administration and student affairs, especially in international education, for academic positions such as advisors, counselors, and program coordinators

Admissions and events

Program requirements

All applicants must:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0*
  • Submit evidence of English language proficiency, if applicable. See the Graduate School Requirements for more information. TOEFL scores must be submitted electronically via ETS. IELTS scores can be submitted electronically to institution code 1846
  • Under certain circumstances, with program approval, admission may be granted with the following scores: TOEFL (IBT) 80-91; IELTS 6.5. However, in order to be admitted, an English assessment test (ESLAT) will be required upon arrival, and any recommended English as a Second Language (ESL) course must be completed successfully in your first semester.

*The admissions committee may consider an applicant that does not meet this requirement. Supporting factors include documentation of potential for leadership and relevant experiences that affect your ability to serve in leadership roles.
