Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Advance your career beyond project management with the Wisconsin School of Business Center for Professional & Executive Development’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, the highest level of business process improvement.

Is this program right for you?

Lean Six Sigma is a step-by-step method of interventions and statistical tools that allows companies to understand which business processes are not performing as needed; identify root causes of problems; and sustain gains in improvements. Graduates of the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate are highly sought-after individuals because they know that in order to improve business results, you have to improve processes.

Those embarking on the Six Sigma Black Belt certification have already completed the Yellow and Green Belt certifications. Black Belt graduates are skilled in using quantitative analysis, communication, stakeholder relations, change management, and project leadership as cornerstones to problem-solving instead of relying on intuition and emotion. They have also chosen process improvement as a career path and long-term profession.

You’ll choose four electives from the following programs: Intro to Business Analytics – Quantitative Methods; New Product Development and Innovation; Leadership: Transform Your Business Culture; Project Leadership Communication; Project Portfolio Management; Value Stream Mapping; Change Management; Developing Process Models and Use Cases; Effective Meeting Management and Facilitation; and Managing Teams Effectively.

You learn either online or in a full-day, in-person environment with students from diverse backgrounds and instructors who combine academic rigor with practical experience.
